I couldn’t find the 12v 10A ac adaptor so I tried powering the car fridge from an ATX PSU. I thought it was a good idea, the PSU did not agree with me.
The 12V output is rated for 15A, but when the compressor starts it overloaded the PSU and wouldn’t turn back on for 2min.
I had another 3 PSUs I could parallel up to increase the load capability but went for a more plug-and-play solution.
I have a portable battery and a 2.2A charger which I plugged the fridge into and voila- a indoor power solution that works.
