I purchased some NiMH batteries from AliExpress and they turned out to have an extreemly low capacity if they worked at all.
They were advertised as 3600mAh and it was lucky if they tested at more than 100mAh. Testing had to be done at a discharge of 0.1A as anything more than this the internal resistance would make the voltage drop below the discharge point within a couple of seconds.
The lack of weight tipped me off that they were probably fake. These averaged out at 13.9g compared to 26.3g for a 1700mAh digitor, 27g for 2400mAh Aldi Activ Energy, 27.5g for a 2500mAh Varta, 27.5g for an Amazon EBL 2800mAh battery.
