I bought myself a Geiger meter for my birthday. It is an Army surplus unit from the 60s.
This unit is not very sensitive with the scale starting at 1 rad/h going up to 500 rad/h. If the user of the unit sees the reading up at the 500 mark, it is a fatal dose within 2 hours.
I can’t easily find the required batteries for the unit, so I wanted to adapt to something easily available.
