For Christmas my lovely wife got me an Oculus Rift S VR headset which I think is awesome. My kids also think it is awesome and as such I haven’t been able to get much time on it with them hogging it, so I got another second hand one hoping to simply plug it into an older computer with a leftover mining card. There was nothing simple about it.
The Rift’s major requirements are a graphics card with DisplayPort and a USB 3 port. The 5500 XT took care of the graphics card but the computer was lacking USB ports due to its vintage. I grabbed a USB 3.0 PCIe card from a mate and got this error.
I ordered another card from Amazon hoping to fix the problem only to receive the same series so I had the same error.
The drivers for the Renesas are all dated pre 2012 so old tech
