I have been issued a 125kHz RFID smart card for my access to work and was wondering if it could be copied to either my phone or another card
I first started off by shining a torch through it to see what the internals looked like.
I found out the card was made by MANGO which make a lot of wireless products. The wire (copper?) loop is roughy placed within a box artwork with circles between the lines representing I assume the loop.
On closer inspection of the chip it looks as if there was a small link shorting out the loop that was cut (left side- photo not clear enough to see) when installed into the card.
Next trick was to try to read the card. A quick google gave me an app called MIFARE Classic tool to try to read it. After installing the app on an old S7 it was as easy as putting the phone on the card and pressing start.
It loaded some pre-set default keys to try to unlock the card and these were the results.
I assume that the access control is in sector 6 as that is the only one that I couldn’t read and the rest were blank. The next step is to copy the info to a blank card which we can get from EBay or the like. I’ll add some updates here when I get around to that.
